New Ohgr album
At last, the long-awaited follow up to the Ohgr debut album Welt has arrived. Formerly the front man of industrial forerunners Skinny Puppy, Ogre (Kevin Ogilvie) is set to carve his name into the history books once again with the unapologetic and uncompromisingly brutal Sunnypsyop. Featuring ten manifestations of Ohgr's imagination, it is set to wreak musical havoc on an unsuspecting world. Also featuring the enhanced video for the track "Majik." Sunnypsyop is set to propel Oghr to the forefront of industrial music and could become one of the genre's strongest releases of this year. After the release of Sunnypsyop, Ohgr will embark on a North American tour this summer that should galvanize the industrial rock faithful. He'll also be doing some dates with Ministry and its adjunct band, Revolting Cocks, before summer's end. But the muse doesn't stop there; after the touring has ended, he will enter the studio with cEvin Key to create new music under the banner of Skinny Puppy. Having had a career that has enraptured many and influenced a few more along the way, what happens next doesn't concern Ogre. He's already onto the next thing, way before most people -- on both sides of the stage -- can catch up.
