In an excited post on the band's MySpace page, Acumen Nation has released some tantalizing information about their new album, Psycho The Rapist, which is due for release October 2. According to Jason Novak's most recent update the new album will be a more concise and electronics oriented album than their previous release, Anticore,. Psycho The Rapist also marks a change in direction in terms of production and marketing, as this will be Acumen's first release free from the tethers of other labels and exclusive marketing deals. Instead, the band is researching new ways to distribute their music digitally and a better method for making their art available through independent music dealers and independent stores. The band has also hinted that they are looking into finally playing shows west of the Mississippi for the first time in years.
