Bjork records songs for new album

Bjork says she's been recording songs for her new album with Japanese beatbox artist Dokaka. Dokaka collaborated with the Icelandic singer on tracks for the untitled album at a New York recording studio. According to Bjork's official Web site, the album is due for release later this year. Dokaka's acapella versions of classic songs such as Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man" and the Allman Brothers' "Ramblin' Man" have helped make him a popular artist in Japan. The albums Debut Live, Post Live, Homogenic Live and Vespertine Live, are available from Bjork's Web site and are separately released in June on One Little Indian Records.
