The Mystic Underground set to release debut album

The Mystic Underground have officially set October 26 as the street date for The Nameless and The Faceless, the debut record to be released through their Stereosonic imprint. With a growing buzz within the ultra-competitive NYC market, this highly anticipated collection of songs is sure to display an exciting and fresh take on electronic pop. Described as "The Smiths with synthesizers" and echoing such varied influences as Bowie, Radiohead and the Pet Shop Boys, TMU's brand of intelligent electronic pop is poised to make a mark in what seems to be a current resurgence of the song-based style this band are experts in. In the words of singer Vladimir Valette, "With this album we're looking to grab a foothold in the minds and hearts of listeners everywhere. We want to serve as a reminder that the term 'pop music' is not an obscene one by any stretch. We write songs with something to say and aren't afraid to push the envelope and have you singing along in the process." In anticipation for the album's release, The Mystic Underground's first single from the album, "April Fools' Day," is currently available for listening at The Mystic Underground Web site and Myspace.com. The album will also be made available online through Apple iTunes, Sony Connect and other online retailers. The band is currently in the planning stages for a promotional tour of the eastern United States in early 2005 to coincide with the album being serviced to radio in the USA, Canada and the UK.
