Frozen/Goodbye Remixes

Dance floor energy abounds on this first digital single from one of modern music’s most impressive acts.

Celldweller is a prime example of what can be achieved when talent and technology merge. Besides bridging the gaps between a multitude of genres and musical styles, Celldweller is pushing the envelope in promotion and distribution, without the benefit of a major label, establishing a huge presence on the net, and relying on an ever-growing fan base to spread the word about all things Celldweller. Now, Celldweller has extended into the realm of digital releases with this, their first single on iTunes, the Frozen/Goodbye Remixes. While containing only two tracks, this single is full of dance floor energy. With Razed in Black’s remix of “Frozen,” what was originally a slow and epic piece of haunting aggression is now a pulsating techno track that is sure to please club goers. Klayton’s own revision of “Goodbye” is the real treat of this set; as the song was originally the final offering from Klayton’s previous moniker, Circle of Dust, it was revamped Celldweller-style for The Beta Cessions release. Now, Klayton has yet again revised the song into a pumping drum & bass track suitable for any DJs set list. Beginning slowly, and gradually building up to a breakneck maze of frenetic percussion and instrumental glitches, the Klayton Revision of “Goodbye” is without a doubt one of the best tracks yet heard from Celldweller. Short, but sweet, the Frozen/Goodbye Remixes may be little more than a teaser to satiate the listeners’ palettes until the next full-length album release… but what a teaser it is.
